Roll for Initiative: A D&D Flash Day at Unkindness Art
Roll for your tattoo and see what the fates have in store for you…at Unkindness Art!
This event will take place on Saturday, November 16 from 11am-7pm at our shop located at 2923 North Avenue, Richmond VA.
Be sure to come dressed in your best dragon-slaying, magic wielding finery, or as your favorite D&D character, as there will be a costume contest with prizes! Photo booth available for all your picture-taking needs, and we’ll be voting on contest winners online after the event!
PLEASE NOTE: the Richmond marathon will be taking place on the same day as this flash event and there will be city-wide road closures affecting traffic for a good portion of the day. Please build plenty of extra time in to your commute just in case, and be sure to consult the official marathon route map to see how it may affect your own travel. We recommend downloading the Waze app and using this as your GPS of choice for the day, as marathon-related road closures will be pre-programmed into that app.
PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE EVENT RULES BELOW:
Please be sure to bring a valid photo ID with you to the event. You MUST be over 18 for us to tattoo you!
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your scheduled time slot if possible. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your time slot, we will need to move on to the next guest.
We will have a flash sheet of 20 available designs, at least one from each of our resident artists. Each design corresponds to a specific number on the D20. Roll for your tattoo and find out which design is yours!
If you roll a nat 20, you can either stick with the coveted “three kobolds in a trenchcoat” design, or choose any design you want from the sheet, AND you’ll get to pick out a custom D20 to take home! (while supplies last)
If you want to re-roll for a different design, you can do that three different ways (you may only do each of these re-rolls ONCE):
Donate a non-perishable food item (ye old provisions) for our neighbors, Matchbox Mutual Aid
Purchase any merch item from our in-shop stock (bribe the DM)
Take up the lute and bard hat and serenade the DM with a convincing song
All designs are repeatable and will be tattooed by whichever tattooer is next available; we cannot guarantee a particular tattooer will be able to tattoo you
Arms and legs only; approx. palm size
All designs can be tattooed as either linework or with black & grey shading (no color this time folks!)
We cannot accommodate any changes to the designs
All designs are priced at $120 flat; payment can be made in cash or card (PLEASE NOTE there is a 3% surcharge on credit card transactions; no surcharge on debit card or cash). Tips to your tattooer are appreciated!
You do NOT have to put down a deposit to get tattooed at this event; however, to reserve yourself a spot, you must “purchase” a ticket via this event page. If we finish early or if we have any no-shows, we may be able to take a limited number of non-ticket holding walk-in clients but we cannot guarantee this ahead of time. Thanks for your understanding! PLEASE NOTE: if you reserve a slot, you are good to go even if the reply email you receive says your order is still “pending”!
Please only reserve ONE tattoo slot per customer so we can tattoo the most people possible during the event! Thanks everyone!!
